Interstate 25 in Denver to close for 2012 Presidential Debate October 3
Tuesday, October 02, 2012 Emergency Closure On the evening of Wednesday, October 3rd, Interstate 25 will be completely closed in both directions from the Santa Fe Drive (US 85) interchange to the Hampden Avenue (US 285) interchange for the 2012 presidential debate at the University of Denver. Although all closures, dates and times are subject to change, it is anticipated that the six-mile portion of I-25 will be closed from approximately 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Although the interstate is closed to through traffic, access to the highway will be maintained at the following locations: Access to Northbound I-25: Washington/Emerson St, Broadway/Lincoln St. Santa Fe Drive Access to Southbound :I-25 Colorado Blvd, Evans Ave., Yale Ave., Hampden Ave. View alternate route maps at http://www.cotrip.org/home.htm;jsessionid=E128BBCBE026A0CD886BB3965FAF09D5.node1 For the most current highway and road information on debate day, follow @ColoradoDOT and @DenPublicWorks on Twitter, visit http://www.cotrip.org where you can sign up for text and email alerts, or call 511. |

I find myself asking just what is happening to our country.
