NTSB Releases Video and Final Agenda for March 27 Attentive Driving Forum
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) published the final agenda, including invited presenters, for its Attentive Driving: Countermeasures for Distraction forum, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in the NTSB Conference Center and Board Room in Washington, DC. For the complete agenda with speaker names, affiliations, and bios, see the forum website: (http://www.ntsb.gov/news/events/2012/attentive_driving/index.html) The one-day forum will look at the broad range of distractions that compete for driver's attention, characterize the various distracted driver laws, and discuss the differences in how states have adopted restrictions. The NTSB also released a short video highlighting the issues to be addressed at the forum. It may be viewed at (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f9NQ074WbhI) The forum, which will start at 8:30 a.m., is free and open to all and no registration is required. However, seating is limited, so plan to arrive early. "Ours is a connected nation on the move," said Chairman Hersman. "Addressing attentive driving involves the twin challenges of American mobility and connectivity." |
Message from the President- February 2011 I recently had the privilege of representing the NJMTA at a reception held at the Governor's residence Drumthwacket. We were invited due to the generosity of two of our members, Lacey's Express, Inc. and National Retail Systems, Inc. who responded to a request for tractor donations Message From President - January 2011 As I prepared to write my first article for the NJMTA membership as the acting President, my thoughts are focused on the recent tragedy that occurred in Arizona where a Congressman was seriously wounded and 6 others murdered at a political rally. I find myself asking just what is happening to our country.
