Ports Closing Due to Hurricane Irene
Drayage truckers at the ports in North Carolina Friday, August 26, 2011 Drayage truckers at the ports in North Carolina will be temporarily off the job because of Hurricane Irene. The ports of Morehead City and Wilmington plan to shut down at noon tomorrow as a precaution. Irene hit the Bahamas this morning with heavy rain and winds up to 150 miles per hour, causing heavy damage. The hurricane was expected to strengthen to a category 4 on Thursday. |
