Carriers In CSA Pilot States to Share Experiences with Webinar
Motor carriers from five pilot states for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010 will share their experiences during a webinar Sept. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. Central time. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 Motor carriers from five pilot states for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010 will share their experiences during a webinar Sept. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. Central time. CSA 2010: The Pilot State Experience will feature presentations by: * Scott Anderson of ATS Specialized in St. Cloud, Minn. * Sam Anderson of Bay & Bay Transport in Rosemount, Minn. * Jack Curry of American Central Transport, Liberty, Mo. * Sherwin Fast of Great Plains Trucking, Salina, Kan. * Phil Hinshaw of Sammons Trucking, Missoula, Mont. * Richard Jenkins of Brown Trucking Company, Lithonia, Ga. * Donna Underwood of Steelman Transportation, Springfield, Mo. Delivered in case study format, the seven presentations will address: why they were selected for an intervention, what type they experienced, changes they have made in their operations in response to the intervention, and their experience with shippers and brokers under this new framework. The presentations will be followed by a live one-hour question and answer session. "Motor carriers in CSA 2010 pilot states have a unique perspective," said John Hausladen, president of the Minnesota Trucking Association. "They know what this new enforcement program is like, both on the roadside and how it plays out during compliance reviews. Motor carriers in the remaining states are hungry to gain this knowledge before their state goes live with the program. Carriers like to hear from their peers and this webinar offers just that." The webinar is a cooperative venture among six state trucking associations, including the Georgia Motor Trucking Association, Kansas Motor Carriers Association, Minnesota Trucking Association, Missouri Trucking Association, Motor Carriers of Montana and New Jersey Motor Truck Association. Twenty-eight other state trucking associations have signed as co-sponsors of this webinar. For more information about the event, visit www.csa-exp.com. |
Message from the President- February 2011 I recently had the privilege of representing the NJMTA at a reception held at the Governor's residence Drumthwacket. We were invited due to the generosity of two of our members, Lacey's Express, Inc. and National Retail Systems, Inc. who responded to a request for tractor donations Message From President - January 2011 As I prepared to write my first article for the NJMTA membership as the acting President, my thoughts are focused on the recent tragedy that occurred in Arizona where a Congressman was seriously wounded and 6 others murdered at a political rally. I find myself asking just what is happening to our country.
